More Than a Yoga Studio: Meet The LITL Studio on the Boise Bench

What if your yoga practice could be about more than the poses you make on your mat? What if it could help you understand your body, explore new ways of moving, build strength, find stillness, and reconnect with yourself?

At The LITL Studio on Boise’s Bench, there is room to explore all of these possibilities.

LITL brings together a diverse community of teachers and practitioners, with classes ranging from powerful heated flows to gentle stretching, alignment-focused yoga, functional mobility, meditation, and deeply supported restorative practices. Whether you want to challenge yourself physically or create a little breathing room in a busy week, there is a practice that can meet you where you are.

A studio rooted in movement and understanding

One of the things that makes LITL distinctive is its connection between yoga and anatomical understanding. Co-creator Johanna Schanbacher is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a 500-hour registered yoga teacher. Her approach brings together movement science, education, and the philosophy of yoga.

That perspective reflects an important principle: yoga isn't about forcing every body into the same shape. It is about learning to pay attention, understanding your options, and discovering how to move with greater awareness.

Our teaching community brings a range of experience, perspectives, and traditions to the studio. That means you can explore different approaches and discover what supports you at different points in your life.

Find the practice that fits your day

Some days call for heat, energy, and a challenging flow. Other days call for deliberate movement, longer holds, or time on the floor to breathe and unwind.

At LITL, you can explore:

  • Powerful and heated practices for energy, strength, and movement.

  • Functional and alignment-focused classes that develop body awareness, balance, and mobility.

  • Gentle and foundational practices with slower pacing, options, and additional support.

  • Yin, restorative, sound, and meditation experiences that invite stillness and inward attention.

You don't have to choose one style forever. Your practice can change as your needs, interests, and energy change.

A place to learn, practice, and connect

LITL is also a space for community. Alongside regular classes, the studio hosts special events and offers spaces for workshops, trainings, private sessions, and gatherings.

Whether you are new to yoga, returning after time away, or a longtime practitioner looking to deepen your understanding, you are welcome to explore.

You don't need to be flexible before you begin. You don't need to know every pose. You simply need to be curious about what your body and mind might discover.
